In the Palatinate in Germany you will receive the PfalzCard as a welcome gift in around 100 hotels, holiday homes and youth hostels.

This allows you to use all buses and regional trains throughout the entire Palatinate region free of charge. On the other hand, the card is also valid as an admission ticket for around 100 leisure activities, including Sea Life in Speyer, the Dynamikum in Pirmasens or castles and palaces such as Hambach Castle.

Furthermore, the card also gives you access to wine tastings, various swimming pools and wellness centres. You cannot buy the PfalzCard anywhere - if you stay in one of the participating accommodations, you will receive it for free.

In the Palatinate, Germany's second largest wine region, the weather and climate are particularly benevolent. Beyond the Palatinate Forest towards the Rhine Valley the scenery is reminiscent of the Garden of Eden. Pink almond blossom appears in early spring, in summer the gardens are bursting with figs, lemons and tall oleander bushes and in autumn the grape harvest and wine festivals attract this beautiful holiday region. The German Wine Route is littered with wine-making estates and historical wine towns. The Palatinate is a broad wine region whose friendly people are rooted to the soil - lovers of wine with a sunny disposition.
