Celebrations took place all over the city, from the centre to the outskirts and far beyond. Still special if you compare this pride with prides in the neighbouring country of Belgium. The rainbows flags were visible everywhere, even in the surrounding villages. The entire city and region was a great celebration of diversity. Close to the city walls, the place where the rainbow boats arrived, was a cozy information market with informative stands about health, sexuality and the elderly, as well as commercial stands of travel organisers and trade unions. This information market was combined with a real art market. Limitless in 2019During the official opening of Roze Zaterdag 2017, it was announced who can be Pink City in 2019. For the first time ever, people cross the border with the theme of connection and boundlessness. Venlo and the neighbouring German city of Krefeld will together be Pink City in 2019 and organise Roze Zaterdag. Gouda will have that honour in 2018. Yes sir, I can boogieThe highlight of Roze Zaterdag in Den Bosch was the closing show with various performances. The market square in the city centre quickly filled up. The two ladies of the band Loïs Lane started the atmosphere with a whole series of covers from ABBA. However, the tones of 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' and 'Sorry I'm a Lady', the two world-famous hits from the seventies that Baccara brought to the stage, made Den Bosch completely shake. Baccara still sang as wonderfully as forty years ago. The dance steps were also from four decades ago. A piece of nostalgia from earlier times.
