A small village on the North Sea in the south of the Netherlands with beautiful dunes and forest. In the Netherlands they also call it 'the beach of Rotterdam'.

The intention of the Historical Walking Route Hoek van Holland (through the village, along the Nieuwe Waterweg and the sea, through the forests and dunes) is on the one hand to confront walkers with the many changes - past and present - and on the other hand to get acquainted with many historical monuments available to Hoek van Holland.
