One of my favourite things about this place is the youth hostel right on the lake’s edge. Waking up and having breakfast with a view of the frozen lake is an experience like no other. It’s cosy, welcoming and puts you right in the heart of this stunning landscape. Plus, if you feel like a bit of adventure, the charming town of Echternach is just a fifteen-minute walk away or a quick five-minute drive.  As you explore the area, you might come across frosty paths leading to the lake’s edge, hinting at the quiet adventures of those who’ve come before you. The frozen reeds poking through the ice, the reflections of bare branches – every detail adds to the enchanting winter scene.
