Let’s rewind. Thirteen years ago, we kicked off as Magnificent Earth, writing travel content for Dutch readers in the Netherlands and Belgium. We were busy crafting articles, not just for ourselves but for other travel sites too! But then, something surprising happened: our readers weren’t just Dutch or Belgian. We were pulling in a global audience. English | Bahasa Indonesia BY HANAN, 2 minutes read With that, English took over and we started translating those Dutch gems into English. Some didn’t survive the edit, but a few sneaky Dutch pieces are still hiding on the site. Want to find one? Give it a go! But here’s the thing - Magnificent Earth was too long and kept getting misspelled, so we needed a change. Next up, we became ME Travelblog. 'ME' was short for Magnificent Earth, but that didn’t stick either. People didn’t quite get it and we realised our content was shifting. Travel was still our heart, but we were diving deep into culture too, especially with an increasing Indonesian audience. And then the pandemic changed everything. We went all-in with a fresh vision - more lifestyle, more culture, and a second website Mata Nusantara in Indonesian. But keeping two websites felt a bit… fragmented. So we decided to unite everything under one name: Just Hanan. Why Just Hanan, 13 years after we started? It’s simple, direct and it’s us. Everything’s now under one roof - two magazines (InSite Magazine in English and Mata Nusantara in Indonesian) but one mission, one team. We’ve made it easy for readers to switch between languages, so you can explore it all. This name change? It’s not just a rebrand. It’s evolution.
